The Prosecutor General's Office of Iran has issued a new warning regarding the dissemination of photos and videos depicting areas struck by projectiles.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the agency released an official statement on Monday addressing the issue.
According to the statement, if the shared photo or video materials are deemed to "complement enemy intelligence imagery," such actions may result in criminal liability. The Prosecutor General's Office emphasized that legal measures will be taken against individuals sharing such content, warning that those responsible will face a "decisive legal response."
The agency highlighted that the dissemination of such information poses a significant risk to national security. By restricting the circulation of visual data from sensitive or impacted sites, Iranian authorities aim to prevent the potential exploitation of tactical information by external actors. This measure reflects a broader regional trend where governments are increasingly tightening controls over digital information flows during periods of heightened geopolitical tension to protect military and strategic infrastructure.
