President Ilham Aliyev has congratulated all participants of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) on the successful and result-oriented conclusion of the event.
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, the head of state shared his congratulations in a post on his official X account. "Azerbaijan had the honor of hosting another important global event - WUF13. This is the second largest international gathering held in Azerbaijan after COP29. We congratulate all participants, partners, and the UN family, especially UN-Habitat, on a successful and result-oriented WUF13," the post said.
The World Urban Forum, established by the United Nations in 2001, is the premier global conference on sustainable urbanization. Azerbaijan's hosting of WUF13 in Baku underscores the country's growing role as a major hub for international diplomacy and global discussions, following its successful hosting of the COP29 climate summit in November 2024.
