President Ilham Aliyev noted that the normalization process and the eventual signing of a peace treaty are essential components for ensuring long-term stability and security in the South Caucasus region.
The European Political Community is an intergovernmental platform for political and strategic discussions about the future of Europe, established in 2022 following changes in the continent's security landscape. Azerbaijan has consistently advocated for a peace agenda based on the principles of international law and mutual recognition of territorial integrity. Following the restoration of its sovereignty over Garabagh, Azerbaijan has proposed a peace treaty to Armenia, focusing on the delimitation of borders and the opening of regional transport communications to foster economic integration in the region.
