The Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, led by Chair Betsy Berns Korn and CEO William Daroff, has sent a congratulatory letter to President Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of May 28 – Independence Day.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the letter highlights the significance of the 108th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic. The authors emphasize the enduring legacy of parliamentary governance, equality, and inclusivity established in 1918, noting the presence of Jewish representatives in the first parliament as a testament to Azerbaijan's long-standing tradition of coexistence and mutual respect.
