President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree on awarding a group of individuals with the medal "For services in the field of demining" for their distinguished performance in clearing territories of landmines.
According to the document signed by the head of state, as reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, the following individuals have been awarded the aforementioned medal:
- Baghirov Jeyhun Akbar oglu – Colonel
- Dashdamirov Mehman Gahraman oglu – Retired Colonel
- Mammadov Suleyman Abdulla oglu – Major
- Abdulov Sayahat Namik oglu – Captain
- Salahov Nurlan Bilal oglu – Captain
- Agayev Huseyn Osman oglu
- Jafarov Vusal Nuraddin oglu
- Jalilov Shahin Sahlardar oglu
- Aliyev Rashad Radin oglu
- Aliyev Fadai Azer oglu
- Huseynov Azer Fehruz oglu
- Huseynov Khaliq Araz oglu
- Huseynov Namiq Abdulrahim oglu
- Huseynov Nizami Rasim oglu

The demining process remains a top priority for Azerbaijan as the country continues extensive reconstruction efforts in its liberated territories. Since the end of the 2020 conflict, Azerbaijan has faced a massive challenge in neutralizing hundreds of thousands of landmines and unexploded ordnances. These efforts are crucial for the safe return of internally displaced persons and the implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects in the Garabagh and East Zangazur economic regions.
