President Ilham Aliyev has stated that Azerbaijan attaches special importance to the development of mutually beneficial cooperation with the United States, which possesses significant potential.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the head of state conveyed this message in a letter addressed to US President Donald Trump.
"We attach special importance to the development of mutually beneficial cooperation with great potential between Azerbaijan and the United States. I am confident that by fully utilizing this potential and existing opportunities, we will achieve the strengthening of our interstate relations and the further deepening of our strategic partnership through our joint efforts," the head of state noted in his letter.
Azerbaijan and the United States have maintained diplomatic relations since 1992. The partnership between the two nations has historically focused on areas such as energy security, counter-terrorism, and regional stability, with Azerbaijan playing a key role in supporting international efforts in these sectors.
