As of 10:00 a.m. on August 22, the weather across Azerbaijan remained largely dry and precipitation-free. According to information provided by the National Hydrometeorological Service to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the country experienced north-westerly winds throughout the previous day. Maximum wind speeds reached 20 m/s in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, 19 m/s in Julfa, and 16 m/s in Shahbuz.
Temperatures remained warm, with maximums reaching 33°C in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, 34°C in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, 37°C in the lowland regions, and up to 24°C in mountainous areas.
The National Hydrometeorological Service has also released its preliminary outlook for the upcoming autumn season.
