İran-Azərbaycan sərhədi: AYNA-dan rəsmi xəbər

There are currently no problems or restrictions regarding the passage of heavy goods vehicles across the Azerbaijan-Iran border, officials confirmed today.

The Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA), under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, told Operative Information Center-OMM that cargo movement remains stable. The agency noted that regular contact is being maintained with carriers and the situation is under full control. "If any changes occur, the public will be informed accordingly," the statement emphasized.

The clarification comes as Israel launched strikes against Iran to neutralize perceived threats, leading to a state of emergency across Israel. Due to the escalating security situation in the Middle East, several countries in the region have closed their airspace as a precautionary measure. Reports indicate that the United States, under the leadership of US President Donald Trump, continues to monitor the regional security architecture closely alongside its allies.

The border crossings between Azerbaijan and Iran serve as a vital component of the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC). Maintaining the flow of transit through these checkpoints is essential for regional trade and the logistical connectivity between the Caucasus and the Persian Gulf. Azerbaijan continues to play a strategic role as a reliable transport hub, ensuring the continuity of international supply chains despite geopolitical fluctuations in neighboring territories.
