In recent days, Georgian authorities have deported 84 foreign nationals, including citizens of Azerbaijan, for violating the country's migration laws.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the announcement was made by the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs. Officers from the Migration Department of the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs executed the deportations following a series of enforcement operations conducted across the country.

The individuals removed from Georgia include citizens from a diverse range of nations, such as Turkey, Turkmenistan, India, China, Egypt, Azerbaijan, Kenya, Russia, Nigeria, Iraq, Cuba, Lebanon, Pakistan, South Africa, and Somalia. In accordance with existing legislation, the deported individuals have also been issued a ban on re-entering Georgia.

Georgia, which serves as a significant transit hub in the South Caucasus, has increasingly tightened its migration policies to ensure compliance with national security and border control standards. These measures are part of a broader effort by the Georgian government to regulate the influx of foreign nationals and maintain strict adherence to visa and residency requirements.
