Erdogan holds talks with Hungarian Prime Minister Magyar

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a telephone conversation with the newly elected Prime Minister of Hungary, Magyar, to discuss the future of bilateral relations and regional developments.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing the Communications Directorate of the Turkish Presidential Administration, the two leaders exchanged views on the further expansion of cooperation between Ankara and Budapest, as well as matters of regional and global significance.

During the conversation, the Turkish leader congratulated his colleague on his election victory. President Erdogan emphasized that the relations between the two nations are built on a foundation of shared history and culture, expressing confidence that this partnership will continue to strengthen both bilaterally and within international platforms in the new period.

Diplomatic relations between Turkey and Hungary have seen significant growth in recent years, characterized by a strategic partnership that spans defense, energy, and trade. As both nations are members of NATO and maintain close ties within the Organization of Turkic States, such high-level dialogues are seen as pivotal for maintaining stability in the region and fostering economic integration between Europe and Western Asia.
