A delegation led by the Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Abiy Ahmed Ali, visited Victory Park in Baku on February 27.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that a guard of honor was lined up in the park in honor of the high-ranking guest.
The Prime Minister of Ethiopia laid a wreath at the Victory Monument, paying tribute to the memory of the sons of the motherland who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
The guest was provided with detailed information about Victory Park, which was established to immortalize the dear memory of the martyrs and to commemorate the unparalleled heroism and magnificent historic victory achieved by the Azerbaijani people in the Patriotic War.
Victory Park, located at the entrance to 8 November Avenue in the capital, serves as a symbol of the restoration of international law and Azerbaijan's sovereignty over its internationally recognized territories. The memorial complex is part of a broader state initiative to preserve the military history and heritage of the 44-day war, which resulted in the liberation of Garabagh and surrounding districts from occupation.
