Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz has arrived in Yerevan to participate in the 8th European Political Community (EPC) Summit.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing Armenian media, that the visit is part of a high-level gathering of European leaders in the Armenian capital.
According to official reports, the Turkish Vice President was welcomed at Zvartnots International Airport by Ruben Rubinyan, the Deputy Speaker of the Armenian parliament and the special representative for the normalization of Armenia-Turkey relations. Yilmaz is in the city to attend the VIII Summit of the European Political Community, which will be held on May 4 under the theme "Building the Future: Unity and Stability in Europe."
The European Political Community is a strategic platform for political and security discussions, bringing together leaders from approximately 50 European countries to foster stability and prosperity across the continent. Since its inaugural meeting in Prague on October 6, 2022, the summit has been hosted in various cities, including Chisinau, Granada, Oxfordshire, Budapest, Tirana, and Copenhagen. The forum serves as a critical venue for addressing regional challenges and strengthening cooperation between EU and non-EU member states.
