Foggy weather conditions have restricted visibility in several regions of Azerbaijan, including the capital and the Absheron Peninsula.

According to the National Hydrometeorological Service, as reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, visibility has dropped to between 500 and 1,000 meters in Baku, the Absheron Peninsula, Quba, Qusar, Shabran, and Saatli. The service noted that the fog is a result of current synoptic conditions and is expected to continue intermittently through April 23 and 24.

Fog is a common seasonal atmospheric phenomenon in Azerbaijan, particularly during the spring and autumn months when temperature fluctuations and humidity levels create ideal conditions for its formation. The National Hydrometeorological Service regularly monitors such weather patterns to provide timely warnings for transport safety and public awareness, especially for drivers navigating mountainous and coastal routes where visibility can shift rapidly.
