The weather forecast for Azerbaijan on February 20 has been announced. While conditions in the capital Baku and the Absheron Peninsula are expected to remain mostly dry, precipitation is forecasted for several regions, with snow expected in mountainous areas.

According to the National Hydrometeorological Service, which provided information to Operative Information Center-OMM, the weather in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula will be changeably cloudy, occasionally gloomy, and primarily rainless. However, there is a possibility of drizzling rain in some areas during the night from February 19 to 20. An occasionally strengthening north-west wind will be replaced by a north-east wind in the morning.

The air temperature in the capital will range from 4-7°C at night to 12-16°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure will rise from 764 mm Hg to 773 mm Hg, while relative humidity is expected to be 70-75% at night and 60-65% during the day.

In the regions of Azerbaijan, intermittent precipitation is expected in some areas, with snow falling in the highlands. There is a possibility that the precipitation will intensify in specific locations. However, the rain and snow are expected to gradually cease by the morning, leading to mostly dry conditions throughout the day. Fog is also anticipated in various regions during the night and morning hours.

The air temperature in the regions will be 4-7°C at night and 15-19°C during the day. In the mountainous areas, temperatures will fluctuate between 2-6°C at night and 6-11°C during the day. A moderate west wind will occasionally strengthen in some areas during the night and morning.

The National Hydrometeorological Service of Azerbaijan regularly monitors atmospheric conditions to provide timely updates for the public and relevant state agencies. Such seasonal fluctuations are typical for the climate of Azerbaijan, where the transition from winter to spring often involves varying pressure systems and localized precipitation patterns across the country's diverse topography, from the Caspian coast to the Greater and Lesser Caucasus ranges.
