The Main State Traffic Police Department (BDYPİ) has issued an official appeal to drivers regarding the expected unfavorable weather conditions on the roads of Azerbaijan. The department warned that motorists should exercise heightened caution due to forecasted changes in weather patterns over the coming weekend.
In a statement provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the BDYPİ emphasized that foggy and drizzly conditions, particularly during night and morning hours, will significantly reduce visibility. Drivers, especially those involved in freight transportation, are urged to take necessary precautions and strictly adhere to safety regulations to mitigate risks posed by strong winds and limited sightlines.
Given the anticipated increase in traffic intensity on national highways as citizens travel to the regions, the department advises motorists to ensure their vehicles are in proper technical condition before departing. Recommendations include avoiding speeding, traveling during daylight hours where possible, and maintaining a safe distance from other vehicles.
