US President Donald Trump stated in an interview with Fox News that he believes Russian President Vladimir Putin is providing "some" assistance to Iran in its ongoing conflict with the United States and Israel.
According to Operative Information Center-OMM, Trump noted that the Russian leader's actions could be a response to the support Washington provides to Ukraine.
In response to host Brian Kilmeade's reminder that Washington is indeed supporting Kyiv, Trump confirmed the fact."I think he's probably helping them (Iran) a little bit. He probably thinks we're helping Ukraine, right?"
On the other hand, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that Moscow has not received any requests for assistance, including weapons, from Iran. The Kremlin official emphasized that Russia is not a party to the conflict in the Middle East.
It should be noted that a telephone conversation took place between Putin and US President Donald Trump on March 9. The Russian leader shared his views with his American counterpart regarding the settlement of the Iran conflict, including the results of his discussions with the leaders of the Gulf countries.
The relationship between Washington, Moscow, and Tehran remains a focal point of global geopolitics. Under the administration of US President Donald Trump, the United States has maintained a firm stance on regional security, while monitoring the growing strategic partnership between Russia and Iran. This dynamic is increasingly influenced by the broader international landscape, including the ongoing military operations in Ukraine and the shifting alliances within the Middle East.
