"If we assume that Iran will accept the agreed terms—which is perhaps a major assumption—the already legendary Operation 'Epic Fury' will end, and the Strait of Hormuz will be open to everyone, including Iran, thanks to the extremely effective blockade," the President stated. He further warned that if the conditions are not met, aerial bombardments will resume with greater intensity and at a higher level than previously seen.
The Strait of Hormuz is a critical global chokepoint, through which approximately one-fifth of the world's total oil consumption passes daily. Tensions in the region have historically impacted global energy markets and maritime security.
