"DeepSeek-V4" təqdimatı bazarlarda əvvəlki kimi şok yaratmadı

The presentation of the next-generation artificial intelligence model by China's DeepSeek has been met with a relatively calm reaction in global markets.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that this situation stands in sharp contrast to the shockwaves triggered by the company's previous models on a global scale last year.

It should be recalled that the DeepSeek-V3 and R1 models demonstrated high performance while requiring significantly fewer computing resources than U.S. systems, leading to a global sell-off in technology stocks at the time.

The DeepSeek-V4 model, introduced on Friday, did not provoke a similar market reaction. Investors now appear accustomed to the industry's rapid update cycles and the continuous development of cost-effective AI models. Lian Jye Su, chief analyst at Omdia, stated that the announcement followed a fairly predictable scenario. According to the analyst, efficiency gains and architectural improvements have become widespread among global AI developers.

Data provided by Artificial Analysis indicates that while the new model shows noticeable improvements over previous versions, it remains within the same competitive environment as rivals such as Kimi and Qwen. Despite the weak market response, analysts emphasize that DeepSeek's latest model remains significant within the context of the ongoing technological competition between the United States and China.

Alfredo Montufar-Helu of Ankura China Advisors focused on long-term strategic positioning rather than short-term market impact. He noted that the new model is optimized to run efficiently on Huawei chips, illustrating how Chinese firms are adapting to U.S. export restrictions. Meanwhile, Asian technology markets continue to maintain their strength. Amid optimism regarding global AI demand, South Korean and Taiwanese stocks reached new record levels on the first day of the week.

The emergence of DeepSeek as a major player highlights the shifting dynamics in the global AI landscape, where Chinese firms are increasingly challenging the dominance of Silicon Valley. This competition is particularly relevant as US President Donald Trump has emphasized the importance of maintaining American technological leadership and addressing trade imbalances in the high-tech sector. The development of high-performance models that bypass the need for restricted high-end hardware remains a focal point for Beijing's self-reliance strategy in the semiconductor and software industries.
