Azerbaijan has been informed about the ongoing progress regarding the road and railway project of the Zangazur corridor passing through Armenia. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, according to the Operative Information Center-OMM.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted that the project receives support from the United States. "Negotiations in this direction are being conducted between the US and Armenia. However, at the same time, the entry and exit points of the TRIPP project are located within the territory of Azerbaijan. Therefore, we are being kept informed by our partners from the US. We have been assured that the process is underway and is currently in the stage of document preparation," the minister stated.
The TRIPP (Trans-Regional Infrastructure and Partnership Program) initiative is viewed as a significant framework aimed at enhancing connectivity across the South Caucasus. By integrating regional transport networks, such projects seek to foster economic stability and facilitate trade routes connecting Azerbaijan with its exclave of Nakhchivan and beyond, thereby strengthening regional cooperation and logistical integration.
