Ceyhun Bayramov: Azərbaycan və Rusiya iqtisadiyyatı inkişaf edir

Despite the prevailing challenges in the global economy, Azerbaijan and Russia have established a positive trend in their economic cooperation. This was stated by the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, during an expanded meeting with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, held in Moscow on July 17.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the discussions focused on strengthening bilateral ties. "I am confident that we will be able to discuss all areas of trade and economic cooperation in detail today. One of the key elements of this cooperation is the regular activity of the Intergovernmental Commission, which held its 24th meeting this April. In this context, we believe that despite all the difficulties in the global economy, the overall trend between our countries is positive. Today, we will likely discuss the figures and indicators for 2025, as well as the directions planned for the near future," said Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.

The minister further noted that the humanitarian sphere remains a traditionally important element of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Russia. "Naturally, we will be ready to discuss the entire complex of issues related to the regional and international agenda of mutual interest, including our contacts and cooperation on international platforms," the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister added.

Azerbaijan and Russia maintain a strategic partnership characterized by active political dialogue and significant economic interaction. The Intergovernmental Commission serves as a primary mechanism for coordinating trade, energy, and transport projects, which are vital for regional connectivity and economic stability in the South Caucasus.
