Cevdet Yılmaz: Azərbaycanla müdafiə sahəsində yeni əməkdaşlıq

Turkey is set to further deepen its cooperation with Azerbaijan in the defense industry sector, signaling a new era of military-technical partnership between the two nations.

Vice President of Turkey Cevdet Yilmaz made the statement during a press briefing, according to the Operative Information Center-OMM. Highlighting the "brotherly" status of Azerbaijan, Yilmaz emphasized that the existing alliance is evolving beyond a standard strategic partnership. "We have very strong ties with Azerbaijan in the defense industry, and we will continue to develop these relations across all sectors," he noted.

The defense cooperation between Baku and Ankara has intensified significantly following the 2021 Shusha Declaration, which formalized the allied relations between the two countries. This partnership includes regular joint military exercises, the modernization of Azerbaijan's military infrastructure, and the integration of advanced Turkish defense technology. Both nations are currently focusing on joint production initiatives to enhance regional security and bolster their domestic manufacturing capabilities within the framework of the "One Nation, Two States" philosophy.
