President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree granting diplomatic ranks to several officials serving within the diplomatic service bodies of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the decree confers the following diplomatic ranks:
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary:
- Yalchin Ilgar oglu Rafiyev
- Samir Anvar oglu Sharifov
Envoy Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the first class:
- Sultan Agami oglu Hajiyev
- Ruslan Rafael oglu Nasibov
Envoy Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the second class:
- Samir Arif oglu Becanov
- Anar Jafar oglu Najafli
The conferral of diplomatic ranks is a standard procedure within the Azerbaijani civil service, reflecting the professional achievements and career progression of diplomats representing the country's interests abroad.
