Heavy traffic congestion is currently being observed on several main roads and avenues in the capital of Azerbaijan. The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Intelligent Transport Management Center (NIIM) has issued a statement regarding the current traffic situation.
According to the official data, significant delays and vehicle density are being experienced in the following areas:
- Heydar Aliyev Avenue – main road, towards the city center
- Heydar Aliyev Avenue – secondary road, towards the city center
- Baku–Sumgait highway – towards the "20 January" metro station
- 1st Gol kenari road – towards Ziya Bunyadov Avenue
- 8 November Avenue – from the intersection with Suleyman Ahmadov Street towards the center
- Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street – up to the intersection with Azadlig Avenue
- Binagadi highway – towards the "Azadlig Prospekti" metro station
- Ziya Bunyadov Avenue – from the intersection with Muzaffar Narimanov Street towards the "20 January" metro station
- Tbilisi Avenue – from the "20 January" metro station towards the city center
- Ali Mustafayev Street – towards Ziya Bunyadov Avenue
Drivers are advised to use alternative routes where possible and exercise caution while traveling through the affected zones. The Intelligent Transport Management Center (NIIM) utilizes a comprehensive network of surveillance and sensors to monitor the traffic flow in Baku, aiming to ensure the safety and efficiency of the capital's transport infrastructure.
