A fire broke out at a commercial facility located on Ziya Bunyadov Avenue in the Narimanov district of Baku, prompting an immediate response from emergency services. Despite the complexity of the incident, forces from the Ministry of Emergency Situations successfully localized the fire, preventing it from spreading to a wider area.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that according to the Ministry's press service, personnel have secured the site and moved goods and materials belonging to local entrepreneurs to a safe location to prevent further damage. Currently, operations to completely extinguish the fire are ongoing, and additional information will be provided to the public.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) stated that the incident caused significant traffic congestion in the directions of the "20 Yanvar" and "Koroglu" metro stations. The MIA's Intelligent Transport Management Center and police officers are taking operative measures to regulate traffic flow and ensure the unhindered movement of rescue vehicles. Ziya Bunyadov Avenue serves as a critical transportation artery in Azerbaijan's capital, and authorities are working to restore normal movement while ensuring public safety and the evacuation of citizens from the vicinity.
