Two individuals have been arrested in Baku on suspicion of stealing electrical equipment from the company where they were employed, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
The incident occurred at a business facility located in the Binagadi district of the capital. Following an operation conducted by law enforcement, 36-year-old E. Guliyev and 40-year-old M. Gulmammadov were taken into custody. According to information provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM, investigators determined that the suspects had systematically removed electrical equipment from their workplace.
Theft and property crimes are handled by the territorial police departments under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan. In such cases, the suspects are typically detained pending a formal investigation to determine the total value of the stolen goods and to establish whether they acted alone or as part of a larger criminal scheme. The Ministry continues to monitor security within commercial enterprises across the country to prevent similar incidents.
