Weather conditions in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula are expected to change significantly on April 27, with strong winds forecast for the capital and precipitation expected in various regions of Azerbaijan. According to the National Hydrometeorological Service, while the day will start with variable cloudiness and mostly dry conditions in Baku, a mild southwest wind is expected to be replaced by a strong northwest wind by the evening hours.
In a statement provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM, meteorologists noted that temperatures in the capital will range between 9-13°C at night and 16-20°C during the day. In the regions of Azerbaijan, particularly in mountainous and foothill areas, intermittent rain, lightning, and hail are anticipated. High-altitude areas may experience snow, while western winds are expected to intensify in certain districts. Atmospheric pressure is set to rise from 757 mm to 761 mm of mercury, with relative humidity reaching up to 75% at night.
The National Hydrometeorological Service regularly monitors atmospheric changes to provide timely alerts for the population and relevant state agencies. Such sharp transitions in weather patterns are characteristic of the spring season in the South Caucasus, often requiring precautionary measures for maritime operations in the Caspian Sea and agricultural activities in the rural regions of Azerbaijan.
