Due to ongoing road repair works on Moscow Avenue (side road), Rashid Ismayilov Street (Bilajari slope), and Natavan Street, temporary traffic restrictions have been introduced in Baku. These measures are part of broader efforts to upgrade the capital's transport infrastructure and ensure public safety during construction.
The Operative Information Center-OMM was informed by the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA), which operates under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, that the restrictions will necessitate changes to the movement schemes of 32 bus routes effective from 20:00 today.
The affected routes include numbers 2, 7A, 14, 29, 37, 67, 83, 83A, 91, 92, 96, 102, 114A, 114B, 119, 130, 135, 137, 142, 156, 156A, 158, 159, 170, 199, 500, 503, 508, 525A, 525B, 594, and E2. According to official statements, buses will be redirected through the tunnel located on Moscow Avenue to maintain service continuity.
Specific adjustments have been detailed for various routes:
- Routes 2, 7A, 14, 29, 37, 67, 83, 83A, 92, and 96, which serve the Baku International Bus Terminal Complex and Bilajari settlement, will now operate via the Baku-Sumgait highway, the Sulutepe overpass, and the Khojasan circle.
- Buses operating on routes 156, 156A, 158, 170, 525A, and 525B will be rerouted through the "20 January" circle and the Moscow Avenue tunnel.
- Route 91 will be redirected via Rashid Ismayilov Street, 1st turn, and Gabil Suleymanov Street.
The Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency frequently adjusts public transport routes in Baku to accommodate urban development projects and road maintenance.
