Heavy traffic congestion has been reported on several major roads and avenues in Baku, causing significant delays for commuters in the capital.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Digital Development and Transport Agency’s Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) has released an official update regarding the current situation on the city's road network.

According to the latest data, traffic density is currently observed at the following locations:

  • Baku-Sumgait highway, in the direction of the "20 January" metro station;
  • Binagadi highway, in the direction of the "Azadliq Prospekti" metro station;
  • Ali Mustafayev Street, heading towards Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
  • Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the intersection with Muzaffar Narimanov Street towards the "20 January" metro station;
  • 1st Gol Kenari road, in the direction of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
  • 8 November Avenue, from the intersection with Suleyman Ahmadov Street towards the city center;
  • Heydar Aliyev Avenue, main road, in the direction of the city center;
  • Heydar Aliyev Avenue, auxiliary road, in the direction of the city center;
  • Airport highway, in the direction of the "Koroglu" metro station;
  • Yusif Safarov Street, in the direction of the city center;
  • Abdulvahab Salamzade Street, in the direction of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
  • Tbilisi Avenue, from the "20 January" metro station towards the city center;
  • Mikayil Mushfiq Street, from the "Badamdar" circle towards school-lyceum No. 20;
  • Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street, up to the intersection with Azadliq Avenue;
  • 28 May Street, from the intersection with Pushkin Street to the intersection with Rashid Behbudov Street;
  • Babek Avenue, in the direction of the city center.

Traffic congestion in Baku often intensifies during morning and evening rush hours due to the high volume of vehicles entering the capital from surrounding residential areas and the Absheron Peninsula. The Intelligent Transport Management Center continues to monitor the flow of traffic via surveillance cameras to optimize signal timings and ensure the safety of motorists in Azerbaijan's capital.
