Traffic congestion reported on major roads in Baku

Traffic congestion is currently being observed on several major roads in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) has issued an official update regarding the current traffic situation in the city.

As of the latest report, heavy traffic is being recorded in the following locations:

  • 1st Lake Side Road, in the direction of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
  • Sabunchu-Zabrat highway, in the direction of the Koroglu metro station;
  • Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the intersection with Ahmad Rajabli Street to the intersection with Ataturk Avenue;
  • Baku-Sumgait highway, in the direction of the 20 January metro station;
  • Tbilisi Avenue, from the 20 January metro station towards the city center;
  • Abdulvahab Salamzadeh Street, in the direction of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
  • Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street, up to the intersection with Azadlig Avenue;
  • 8 Noyabr Avenue, from the intersection with Suleyman Ahmadov Street towards the city center.

The Intelligent Transport Management Center regularly monitors traffic flow across the capital to ensure public safety and efficiency. Drivers are advised to plan their routes in advance and consider using alternative roads to avoid delays during peak hours, as the city continues to manage increasing vehicular density.
