Significant traffic congestion has been reported on several major roads across Baku, causing delays for commuters throughout the capital.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) has issued an official update regarding the current traffic situation in Azerbaijan's capital.
According to the latest data from the ITMC, heavy traffic is currently being observed in the following areas:
- The Baku-Sumgait highway, in the direction of the "20 Yanvar" metro station;
- Uzeyir Hajibeyli Street, leading up to the intersection with Azadlig Avenue;
- The 1st Lakeside Road, in the direction of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
- Rashid Behbudov Street, in the direction of the Central Bank.
The Intelligent Transport Management Center regularly monitors traffic flow in Baku to optimize urban mobility and reduce congestion. These updates are critical for residents and visitors navigating the city, especially during peak hours when traffic density typically increases on main arterial roads. Authorities advise drivers to plan their routes in advance and consider alternative paths to avoid the affected areas.
