Traffic congestion reported on six major routes in Baku

Traffic congestion has been reported on several major roads in Baku, causing significant delays for commuters during peak hours.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) has issued an official update regarding the current road conditions.

According to the latest data, traffic density is currently observed in the following directions:

  • Baku-Sumgait highway, towards the "20 January" metro station;
  • Ali Mustafayev Street, towards Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
  • Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the intersection with Muzaffar Narimanov Street towards the "20 January" metro station;
  • Sabunchu-Zabrat highway, towards the "Koroglu" metro station;
  • Gara Garayev Avenue, from the "Gara Garayev" metro station towards the "Koroglu" metro station;
  • 8 November Avenue, from the intersection with Suleyman Ahmadov Street towards the city center.

The Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) operates under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan and is responsible for monitoring traffic flow, managing traffic light systems, and providing real-time updates to the public to ensure road safety and efficiency in the capital. Motorists are advised to plan their routes in advance and utilize alternative roads where possible to avoid extended travel times.
