Planned maintenance work will lead to temporary power outages in parts of Baku and the Agdash region today, August 5.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the state power distribution company Azerishig ASC has announced that these measures are necessary to improve the quality of electricity supply and to meet rising demand.
In Baku, power supply restrictions will affect areas served by the Yasamal District Energy Supply and Sales Department, specifically parts of Jafar Jabbarli, Zivar bey Ahmadbayov, and Mohammad Nakhchivani streets. Additionally, certain areas of the Boyukshor settlement, served by the Narimanov District Energy Supply and Sales Department, will be without power from 09:00 to 13:00.
In the Agdash region, the planned outages will occur from 10:00 to 13:00 in the villages of Ashagi Aghjayazi, Yuxari Aghjayazi, and Dahna, as well as the Turyanchay settlement and the 42nd district of the city. Further restrictions are scheduled from 10:00 to 14:00 in the villages of Goshagovag, Golgati, and Shakili.
Azerishig ASC stated that these upgrades are part of ongoing efforts to modernize the national grid. Once the maintenance work is completed, subscribers in these areas are expected to receive a more reliable and higher-quality electricity supply, ensuring better stability for both residential and commercial consumers.
