In accordance with the bilateral cooperation program between Azerbaijan and Lithuania, a delegation from the Military Police Department of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan has visited Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Ministry of Defense reported that the delegation, led by Major General Elgun Aliyev, Deputy Chief of the Main Department for Internal Security and Investigation and Chief of the Military Police Department, visited the administrative headquarters of the Lithuanian Military Police.
During the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation familiarized themselves with the organizational structure, management mechanisms, and daily operational procedures of the Lithuanian military police. The hosts provided detailed briefings on the duties of the Lithuanian military police during both peacetime and wartime, as well as their operational activities within the NATO framework.
The parties discussed the current state and future prospects of cooperation in the field of military police. Emphasis was placed on expanding the exchange of experience to enhance the professional training of personnel and to increase opportunities for joint activities.
This visit underscores the ongoing efforts by the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan to strengthen international military partnerships and align operational standards with international practices, particularly through cooperation with NATO member states like Lithuania.
