The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of the Republic of Azerbaijan has issued an official statement urging citizens to refrain from traveling to or working in regions affected by armed conflict. The advisory emphasizes the significant security risks posed by ongoing hostilities in various parts of the world.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Ministry noted that despite repeated warnings, Azerbaijani citizens continue to operate in high-risk conflict zones, leading to regrettable incidents involving casualties and injuries. The MFA underscored that the security situation in several regions, particularly within the Black Sea basin, remains extremely volatile due to ongoing military operations, threats to civilian shipping, and the use of drones, missiles, and other weaponry.
Given the intensity and unpredictable nature of these military operations, the risks to civilian vessels and their crews have increased significantly. Consequently, the Ministry strongly advises citizens to avoid travel to areas where military operations are ongoing or where the security situation is unstable. Furthermore, the MFA recommends that citizens refrain from seeking employment in these regions or working on transport vessels operating along these routes. Citizens are urged to adhere strictly to official warnings and to maintain contact with Azerbaijan's diplomatic missions and consulates if necessary.
