A meeting of the High-Level Joint Working Group on military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Serbia has been held in Baku.
This was reported to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the Ministry of Defense.
The ministry stated that the delegations were led by Major General Farid Aliyev, Chief of the Main Department of Military-Technical Supply, and Major General Slavko Rakic, Chief of the Defense Technologies Department of Serbia.
During the subsequent stages of the meeting, sub-groups representing various service branches held discussions on the development of a "Digital Army," artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, air defense systems, and unmanned aerial systems. The parties also explored the organization of joint training exercises.
The sides analyzed the current state of military and military-technical relations, exchanging detailed views on expanding cooperation and other issues of mutual interest.
This meeting underscores the deepening strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Serbia, particularly in the defense sector. Both nations have been actively modernizing their armed forces, with a growing emphasis on integrating advanced technologies such as AI and unmanned systems into their military doctrines to enhance national security and operational capabilities.
