Azərbaycan sərhədində 831 nəfərin ölkədən çıxışı qadağan edildi

During the month of May, the State Border Service (SBS) of Azerbaijan intensified its efforts in combating crime and ensuring border security, resulting in the apprehension of 316 individuals who were wanted by law enforcement agencies. These individuals have since been handed over to the relevant authorities for further legal processing.

This information was provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the State Border Service.

According to the official report, border control measures prevented 831 individuals with existing legal travel restrictions from leaving the country. Additionally, authorities blocked the entry of 8 individuals who were prohibited from entering the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The State Border Service of Azerbaijan plays a critical role in maintaining national security by managing the country's borders and enforcing legal mandates. These routine operations are part of a broader strategy to uphold the rule of law, prevent illegal migration, and ensure that individuals subject to judicial or administrative restrictions—such as outstanding debts, criminal investigations, or travel bans—are unable to bypass legal obligations by crossing state borders.
