In accordance with the 2026 combat training plan approved by the Minister of Defense, aviation units of the Azerbaijan Air Force have conducted scheduled training flights.

This was reported to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the Ministry of Defense.

According to the official statement, flight crews first submitted reports on their readiness, followed by an assessment of their theoretical knowledge regarding flight conditions and safety protocols. Subsequently, the pilots conducted pre-flight inspections of the aircraft.

The training plan involved the operation of "JF-17C" (Block-III), "Su-25ML", and "L-39" aircraft. Pilots executed various tasks, including take-offs and landings along designated routes during daylight hours, as well as complex aerobatic and combat maneuvers at varying altitudes.

The primary objective of these exercises was to enhance the combat proficiency of military pilots. The training focused on the precise and safe execution of tasks under diverse tactical conditions, as well as optimizing the effective combat application capabilities of the aviation assets. During the exercises, the military pilots demonstrated a high level of professionalism.

These training flights are part of a broader, ongoing effort by the Ministry of Defense to modernize the Azerbaijan Air Force and ensure that flight crews maintain peak operational readiness. Regular drills are essential for integrating advanced aircraft, such as the JF-17C, into the national defense infrastructure and ensuring that pilots are prepared for contemporary aerial combat scenarios.
