The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan has issued a statement strongly condemning the recent missile launch targeting the territory of brotherly Türkiye.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the official statement from the Ministry of Defense characterized the act as a grave provocation against regional security.
"We strongly condemn the next missile launch against the territory of brotherly Türkiye. This is a gross violation of sovereignty and territorial integrity. Such actions represent an unacceptable escalation and a direct threat to regional stability. We once again declare our solidarity with brotherly Türkiye," the Ministry stated.
The defense and political alliance between Azerbaijan and Türkiye is rooted in the Shusha Declaration, signed in 2021, which formalizes the strategic partnership and mutual security guarantees between the two nations. This relationship, often described by the motto "One nation, two states," ensures that Baku and Ankara maintain a unified stance against external threats and regional instability. Azerbaijan consistently supports Türkiye's security initiatives and territorial integrity on all international platforms.
