Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) has postponed scheduled flights on the Baku-Naxchivan-Baku route due to persisting adverse weather conditions near Naxchivan International Airport.
The airline informed the Operative Information Center-OMM that all necessary measures are being implemented with a primary focus on passenger safety. According to the statement, flight operations will resume immediately after meteorological conditions in the region stabilize.
Naxchivan International Airport serves as a critical transport link for the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, an exclave of Azerbaijan. Due to the geographical location and mountainous terrain of the region, flight schedules are occasionally adjusted during periods of heavy fog or low visibility to adhere to international aviation safety protocols. AZAL advises passengers to monitor official updates regarding rescheduled departure times.
