Body of man who drowned in Hakari River found months later

The body of Nusiravan Hasanov, Mehdi’s son, born in 1962, who drowned on July 4, 2026, in the section of the Hakari River passing through Agali village in the Zangilan district, has been found by rescuers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

"Operative Information Center-OMM" reports that the ministry issued the statement.

The body was recovered from the water and handed over to the relevant authorities, the statement said.

The Hakari River flows through southwestern Azerbaijan, including the Zangilan district. Search and rescue operations in such cases are conducted by emergency services in coordination with the relevant local authorities.
