The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the elimination of a high-ranking member of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Force during a military operation in Beirut. Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing the official Telegram channel of the Israeli military, that the targeted strike was part of ongoing efforts to degrade regional threats.

According to official statements, Reza Khazai was neutralized during a naval-led operation in the Lebanese capital. Khazai served as the chief of staff for the Quds Force's Lebanon corps and was responsible for strengthening Hezbollah's military capabilities. Israeli officials identified him as a primary liaison between the Iranian leadership and the Lebanese Shia movement, ensuring the coordination of resources and strategic support.

The IDF further noted that Khazai oversaw military supplies and logistics, organizing the direct delivery of Iranian military hardware to the group. This operation comes amid heightened regional tensions and Israel's continued military campaign to secure its northern borders. The Quds Force, an elite branch of the IRGC, is frequently cited by international intelligence agencies as the primary vehicle for Iran's extraterritorial military and intelligence operations across the Middle East.
