On April 26, the Aghjabadi District Prosecutor's Office received information regarding the murder of two residents of Yukhari Giyamaddinli village, Shaiq Mamedov (born 1996) and Hasan Mamedov (born 1989).

Preliminary investigations established reasonable suspicions that Aliniyaz Aliyev (born 2004) intentionally killed Shaiq Mamedov and Hasan Mamedov by inflicting knife wounds during a dispute arising from personal relations. Following the incident, Aliniyaz Aliyev was apprehended and detained as a suspect by the prosecutor's office.
A criminal case has been initiated by the district prosecutor's office under Article 120.2.7 (murder of two or more persons) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The preliminary investigation is currently ongoing to determine the full circumstances of the event.
