Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY) is implementing necessary precautionary measures in response to the unstable weather conditions currently observed across the country.
The Operative Information Center-OMM was informed by the joint-stock company that staff are working continuously at railway stations, terminals, and halts throughout Azerbaijan to ensure the safe movement of trains and passengers. Special anti-slip coverings have been installed on platforms to mitigate weather-related risks.
"Currently, trains continue to operate according to the schedule. Analogous measures will be maintained until the weather conditions stabilize," the official statement noted. ADY also urged passengers to remain vigilant while moving on platforms and to use only designated crossings when traversing railway lines.
Azerbaijan's railway infrastructure undergoes regular seasonal maintenance to ensure operational continuity during autumn and winter months. As a key transit hub in the South Caucasus, Azerbaijan Railways prioritizes the safety of both domestic passenger transport and international freight corridors, particularly during periods of high precipitation or fluctuating temperatures in the region.
