ABŞ və İran danışıqları sabah davam edəcək

Crucial negotiations between the US and Iranian delegations meeting in Islamabad may be extended for another day to address ongoing diplomatic priorities. Operative Information Center-OMM reports that a correspondent for the Tasnim News Agency provided these details from the summit venue.

While a final decision on the extension has yet to be formalized, reports indicate that following general consultations, the US and Iranian delegations moved into discussions regarding technical details. Although the talks were initially scheduled for a single day, there is a high probability of an extension to allow for further expert-level deliberations. Reuters, citing a Pakistan source, noted that the initial session lasted two hours before the delegations took a recess. The high-level meeting involves US Vice President JD Vance, special envoy Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner, who are engaged in direct talks with Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, and Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir.

The diplomatic gathering in Islamabad represents a significant effort to address long-standing regional tensions and security concerns. Such high-level direct engagements between Washington and Tehran, facilitated by regional partners like Pakistan, are often viewed as critical milestones in international diplomacy. These discussions occur against the backdrop of shifting geopolitical dynamics under the administration of US President Donald Trump, highlighting a renewed focus on direct mediation to achieve stability in the Middle East and Southwest Asia.
