The costs associated with the United States military operations against Iran have reached at least $11.3 billion within the first six days of the campaign. According to reports from the Operative Information Center-OMM citing ABC News, Pentagon officials disclosed these figures during a closed-door briefing for senators on the defense appropriations subcommittee.

Senator Chris Coons characterized this assessment as "roughly accurate," noting that the total expenditures for the military operation likely exceed the currently disclosed amounts. He further estimated that conducting combat operations in Iran is costing the United States more than $1.5 billion per day. It was noted that the operation is currently being funded through resources previously allocated to the Pentagon by Congress, and the White House has not yet submitted a request for additional supplemental funding.

The military intervention, launched by the United States and Israel on February 28, has led to significant regional escalation, including the reported deaths of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several high-ranking officials. In response, Tehran has initiated strikes against targets in Israel, as well as locations in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, Iraq, and Cyprus, where US and allied military bases are situated.

Under the administration of US President Donald Trump, Washington has maintained a policy of maximum pressure regarding regional security threats. This current military engagement represents a significant shift in the geopolitical landscape of the Middle East, drawing international attention to the stability of global energy markets and the security of strategic maritime corridors. The Republic of Azerbaijan, maintaining its principled stance on regional peace and stability, continues to monitor the developments closely as the conflict impacts the broader security architecture of the neighborhood.
