The State Examination Center (SEC) will conduct recruitment examinations on August 8 for positions as directors and deputy directors at art schools and centers under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Additionally, the exams will cover teacher recruitment for art schools and centers under both the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Culture of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

The examinations will be held in two shifts, starting at 10:00 and 16:00. Candidates arriving after 09:45 and 15:45, respectively, will not be admitted to the exam venue. Participants are required to arrive at the designated time indicated on their admission tickets. Candidates must print their "Exam Admission Ticket" from the SEC website, which contains essential details such as the date, location, building, hall, and start time of the examination. Participants are also advised to review the "Memory Booklet" available on the official website.
Candidates are required to bring an original identity document and their "Exam Admission Ticket" to the venue. The duration of the exam is three hours for director and deputy director candidates, and two hours for teacher candidates.
The recruitment process for leadership positions evaluates candidates on regulatory legal acts, pedagogy, pedagogical psychology, logical reasoning, and general knowledge. The test consists of 100 multiple-choice questions. For teacher candidates, the exam assesses professional knowledge in fields such as "Music," "Fine Arts," and "Choreography," alongside pedagogy, psychology, logic, and general knowledge, totaling 70 multiple-choice questions. Each correct answer is worth one point, and incorrect answers do not negatively impact the final score.
The exams will be administered via computer at the SEC's electronic examination facility in Baku and at Secondary School No. 4 in Nakhchivan. A total of 1,350 candidates have registered for the exams, including 121 applicants for director and deputy director positions and 1,229 for teaching roles. To ensure the smooth conduct of the exams, 15 hall administrators, 89 invigilators, and 14 security personnel have been assigned.
The SEC has also made special arrangements for five visually impaired candidates, providing individual assistants to help with reading tasks and filling out answer sheets, ensuring an inclusive testing environment.
These examinations are part of the broader efforts by the Ministry of Culture and the SEC to standardize and professionalize the staffing of arts education institutions across the country. By implementing rigorous, centralized testing, the government aims to ensure that only qualified professionals are selected to lead and teach in the nation's cultural and artistic centers, thereby maintaining high educational standards in the arts sector.
