New information has been released regarding the passage of Indian vessels through the Strait of Hormuz.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that, according to Reuters citing an Indian government official, ten Indian ships have safely transited the Strait of Hormuz to date.

The official stated that India continues to maintain contact with Iran and other countries to ensure the secure transit of vessels through this strategically significant waterway. Amid ongoing regional tensions, the safety of maritime transport remains a top priority, leading to strengthened diplomatic coordination between the involved parties.

The Strait of Hormuz is considered one of the world's most vital maritime corridors, serving as a primary route for global energy supplies. Approximately 20% of the world's petroleum liquids pass through this narrow passage, making its security essential for global economic stability and international trade security. For major energy consumers like India, maintaining unhindered access to this route is a critical component of national energy security.
