Following a fire that broke out at an ammunition depot in the Goranboy district during the night, residents of the Nizami and Xoylu villages have been evacuated to ensure their safety.
This information was provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the Executive Power of the Goranboy district.
According to official reports, the total number of evacuated individuals has reached 5,000. Authorities have confirmed that a security checkpoint has been established at the entrance to the Nizami village to restrict access and manage the situation effectively.
Goranboy, located in the western part of Azerbaijan, is an agricultural and industrial region. Such emergency measures are standard protocol in the country when incidents occur near military infrastructure to mitigate risks to the civilian population and ensure public order during containment operations.
