US President Donald Trump's harsh rhetoric against Iran is reportedly creating significant obstacles to reaching a final resolution to the ongoing conflict.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports, citing Politico, that the president's public statements and posts on the Truth Social platform have sparked concern among both American and Arab officials.

Sources indicate that while all parties are currently attempting to maintain their influence, US President Donald Trump’s perceived desire for a total victory may complicate the diplomatic process. An anonymous Arab official noted that while the president seeks an end to the conflict, his approach often overlooks Tehran's efforts to preserve its own standing and domestic prestige. Michael Ratney, a former US Ambassador to Saudi Arabia and former special envoy for Syria, emphasized that public comments, threats, or social media posts should be avoided until negotiations are finalized to ensure a stable diplomatic environment.

The current tensions follow a period of heightened military activity, with the United States and Israel launching operations against Iran on February 28. Although US President Donald Trump declared a two-week ceasefire on April 7, subsequent negotiations held in Islamabad on April 11 failed to produce a long-term agreement due to fundamental disagreements. Iranian state media reports that the 40-day conflict resulted in 3,375 Iranian fatalities. While Washington expressed intentions to extend the ceasefire on April 21, Tehran has signaled it will not recognize unilateral decisions, stating it will act according to its own national interests.
