Temperatures in Azerbaijan are expected to reach 22 degrees Celsius on April 17, according to the latest weather forecast. Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the National Hydrometeorological Service has released the outlook for the capital and regional districts.
In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, the weather is expected to be changeably cloudy and occasionally gloomy, but primarily rainless. A mild south-west wind will prevail throughout the day. The temperature in the capital will range between 9-12°C at night and 17-21°C during the day, with atmospheric pressure recorded at 767 mm Hg and relative humidity at 60-65%.
In the regions of Azerbaijan, the weather is also expected to remain mostly dry. However, there is a possibility of short-term light rain in some mountainous areas during the daytime. Occasional fog is predicted in various locations, accompanied by a mild east wind. Temperatures across the country's regions will fluctuate between 6-9°C at night and 17-22°C during the day, while mountainous areas will see lows of 3-8°C at night and highs of 5-10°C during the day.
The National Hydrometeorological Service of Azerbaijan regularly monitors atmospheric conditions to provide accurate forecasts for the public and various sectors of the economy. Such seasonal temperature fluctuations are characteristic of the spring climate in the South Caucasus, where the transition from cooler maritime air to warmer continental influences often results in mild, clear days across the Absheron Peninsula and the interior regions.
